The business, a metal fabricator, offers the very best in design, build, supply, install & maintenance to customers who are looking for a reliable and affordable product. With a strong order book and a growing presence into hitherto untapped market sectors the future is being viewed with cautious optimism. 
Internal promotion has created the need for this key role within the senior leadership team which reports to the Managing Director

The Role:

Implement a production, delivery & installation strategy that secures the achievement of KPIs and at the same time exceeds customer expectations for quality, cost, and timing.
Review existing manufacturing processes, implementing a culture of continuous improvement which encompasses Lean Principles.
Identify areas for improvement to methodologies employed in product installation with a focus on health & safety, increased efficiency, and cost reduction.
Work with Commercial & Technical departments to agree and prioritise R&D programmes whilst being part of a SLT committed to promoting a customer focussed operational culture.
Understand, inspire & motivate a team which will incorporate setting training & development needs as well as improving internal channels of communication.

The Candidate:
Graduate calibre in a relevant [manufacturing / engineering] discipline who can demonstrate success within a medium sized manufacturing business where the activity extends to installation and maintenance of the product.
Experience of managing cost reduction, business improvement whilst at the same time improving build quality and customer service levels.
Proven leadership & management skills measured by evidence of optimising team performance & development.
Resilient, self-motivated, financially astute and with the potential to progress to MD level and its inherent full p&l responsibility.
